What is Tallo?

Tallo is a digital family finance manager that helps parents track pocket money, manage allowances, and teach children about saving. It replaces physical piggy banks with an app account that parents control. Parents are “the bank”.

Is Tallo free to use?

Yes, Tallo offers a free version that allows you to manage children, accounts, and transactions. We also offer a Premium plan that unlocks advanced features like unlimited saving goals and unlimited children accounts.

Can I invite my partner or the grandparents to Tallo to manage my kids' pocket money?

Yes! You can invite your partner to join your family account using a unique Invitation Code. You can find this code in your Family Settings. Once they join, you both have full visibility and control over the family finances.

Does the app support my currency?

Tallo supports multiple currencies (EUR, USD, GBP, etc.). You set the main currency for your family when you create your account.

How does my child access the app?

Tallo is designed for parents’ devices but also features a dedicated Kids’ View. You can switch to this mode to let your child safely view their balance and goals without being able to edit anything.

You can set a Security PIN to prevent your child from accidentally exiting Kids’ View or accessing your parent settings.

How do I automate pocket money?

You can set up a pocket money routine.

1. Go to your child’s account or saving goal
2. Tap on right dots top right
3. Select “Manage recurring money”
3. Select “Add recurring payment” to set up a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly allowance that is automatically credited to their balance.

What are Saving Goals? (Premium)

Saving Goals are special accounts designed to help children save for specific items (e.g., a Bike, LEGO set, own pony :)). You can upload a picture of the goal, set a target amount, and track progress visually.

Note: Saving Goals are available exclusively to Premium users.

Can I track cash payments?

Yes! Tallo is a flexible system. If you give your child $10 in cash, you simply record a “Cash” transaction in the app to deduct it from their digital balance, keeping everything in sync.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

You can request a password reset link on the login screen. We will send an email to your registered address with instructions to create a new password.

How do I change my email address?

You can change your email in the Profile section of the app. For security, we will send a confirmation link to your new email address to verify ownership before the change takes effect.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for all data. Your family’s financial data is private and only accessible to authorized family members. We also support Sign in with Apple and Google for secure, password-less authentication.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion directly from the Profile menu. Please note that this will permanently remove all family data, transaction history, and child profiles associated with your account.
